New Elevations

After working so much on drawings that allowed for little creativity, it is great to sit down with Mike and Tamra and work on the elevations.  After looking at any different buildings in the area, and projects throughout the world, we looked at the floor plans and energy requirements and reworked the first schematic renderings.  I am learning Revit and rendering from my students as they are all swamped with mid terms.  This is my latest rendering - almost looks realistic.  We are looking at using a gray brick with Ipe wood vertical siding.  This takes the gray of our buildings, Ipe from the new condo on Pacific and a movement of the windows around the corner of the site.  The tall windows show the height of the living room and smaller windows show that there is privacy as these are bedrooms.  We will have two street trees on Pacific Street.  There are windows that will be in the cellar (I only have one shown, but should be 3 more on Pacific and 1 more on Boerum).

Boerum Pacific - black and white

We have been spending some time looking at the Dumbo Townhouses, along with so many others. (click to see NY Times article).

We had our renderer work on our kitchen looking from the living room to the terrace in the fashion of the Dumbo Townhouse renderings.  The stairs/shelving is still not quite there and there are lights missing over the island.... but the general feeling is starting to get there.

more progress

Working on some more renderings - here is the next pass.
We marked up the stairs/shelving that connects the kitchen to the living room and should have another update next week.
